Harry Potter-ness

6/26/11:
"Quick Hermione Sketch" - Well, quick for me anyway. The whole process, from sketch to quick color and background took about an hour. Done completely in Autodesk Sketchbook.

"Ginny Weasley in Gryffindor Colors" Sketched and colored in Autodesk Sketchbook. I totally want Gryffindor knee socks!

6/19/11: "After The Battle" Harry and Ginny after the battle. Sketched and colored in Autodesk Sketchbook in less than 2hrs while waiting for my parents to come over. Here's some work-in-progress photos:

6/2/11: "Happy Family" James and Lily Potter with their newborn son! Done completely in Autodesk Sketchbook. I still can't draw hands....

5/27/11: RonxHermione: "Stolen Moment" Sketched and colored in Autodesk Sketchbook. I'm starting to really love coloring in that program, even though I'm pretty bad at coloring in general. I had to use a photo as reference for the poses.

5/26/11: I'm really proud of this one: Harry and Ginny "Some Peace and Quiet," sketched and colored entirely in Autodesk Sketchbook.

5/26/11: "Make A Move" James makes a move on Lily, who maybe isn't totally unresponsive to his advances. Gosh, if I wasn't in love with James Potter before doing this drawing, I definately am now!! This drawing was sketched in Autodesk Sketchbook and cleaned up (poorly) and colored in Photoshop. P.S. I know, I can't draw hands.

5/24/11: "The Choices We Made" Lily, James, and Severus... they all made choices and they all learned that every choice has a consequence. Drawn and colored in Photoshop. The poses were referenced from the Final Fantasy VIII promo poster. I know, I'm a dork.

5/19/11: I did this one after I finished reading the 7th book. I was so moved by the ending and very upset by it. So upset that I needed to do an art project. =0) This one is called "Look At Me." If you read the book, you know why. This one was sketched in Autodesk Sketchbook and cleaned up and colored in Photoshop:

5/4/11: Here's a piece called "Wand Duel." Harry Potter vs. Draco Malfoy, painted with watercolor, oil pastels, and a little bit of colored pencils on a 5x7 canvas board. I had lots of fun doing this and will likely do more in the near future. =0)

My Harry Potter line sketches (drawn in Autodesk Sketchbook with a Wacom):

I actually ended up doing two different versions of Harry. Here's the one with the blue background:

And here's the final piece:

Ginny didn't make it into the final print, but there's always next time!
